Twitching Service for South West Ireland
We all enjoy seeing rare birds for the first (and second) time, but many are vagrants and we have to be quick off the mark if we are to find them before they move off.
For visitors from the UK I am pleased to be able to offer a twitching service.
Typical localities covered – Cape Clear, Mizen Head, Streak Head, Lissagriffin, Dursey Island, Ballycotton, Sherkin Island, Firkeel and all areas of SW and SE Ireland.
Main points
- Pick up by car from Cork Airport
- Direct transfer by car to locality
- Any further car travel
- Booking of any required overnight accommodation
- Help at the site with ID etc
- Return travel by car to Cork Airport
- No other costs other than those below
Costs
- £97 per day plus £15 pp per day (Max 3 People) Min charge – 1 day
- Half days charged at half costs i.e. £48 plus £7pp
- First 150 car miles included in price. Additional miles charged at cost at 35mpg
- Please budget about £22 per night for B&B if required
- Any ferry costs – Cape Clear is £10 return
